Illuminare Purifying Cleansing Oil

Illuminare is a cleansing oil that takes off makeup, sunscreen, and the day’s buildup, and leaves skin softer than it found it.

It works on a simple principle: oil dissolves oil. Castor oil lifts and draws out impurities. Jojoba, steeped in our studio with St. John’s wort, plantain, yarrow, and mugwort, brings herbs long used to calm, clarify, and tone. Hazelnut is a naturally light, astringent oil that helps balance shine. Macadamia is rich in omega-7, a fatty acid that closely resembles skin’s own oils, and it keeps the cleanse soft. A house blend of pure essential oils finishes it.

There are no emulsifiers, only plant oils. Hazelnut and macadamia are light enough that Illuminare rinses away easily with warm water. For a deeper cleanse, a soft, warm cloth lifts off the last of the makeup and impurities. The complexion is left clean, balanced, and supple, never tight.

Crafted with Pure essential oils

Illuminare’s scent comes entirely from pure essential oils. Copaiba balsam gives it a soft, resinous base. Petitgrain sur fleurs, distilled from bitter orange leaves together with the blossoms, brings a bright, green lift. Palmarosa adds a gentle, rose-like note, and clary sage a clean herbal edge. Ylang ylang complete, the full, uninterrupted distillation of the flower, lends a warm floral depth. The result is bright and green, with a quiet floral warmth.

Intentionally Packaged

Illuminare is bottled in clear European flint glass, so you can see the oil’s vibrant golden color, and fitted with a pump for ease of use. Each bottle comes in a box which has been locally letterpressed on Italian cotton-blend paper. Between uses, keep the bottle in its box, away from direct light, to protect the oils inside.

THE RITUAL

Morning or evening, massage two pumps of Illuminare onto dry skin using slow, circular motions. Take your time to soften tension and release the day. Remove with a warm, damp cloth or rinse with water, revealing a clean, supple complexion ready for the next step of self-care.
